Grand Canal Walk

The Grand Canal offers a peaceful walking route through Dublin, following the old towpath. **Route:** Start at Grand Canal Dock (modern, tech company area) and walk west through Ranelagh, Rathmines, Portobello. **Atmosphere:** Tree-lined paths, houseboats, wildlife, nice pubs along the way. Quieter than city streets. **Dogs:** On-lead on the towpath. Some grassy sections. Many dog walkers use this route.
