Dehesa de la Villa

Dehesa de la Villa is Madrid's wildest urban park - a forested hillside that feels far from the city. **Landscape:** Pine forests, open meadows, and great views over northwest Madrid. Much more natural than Retiro or Casa de Campo. **Dogs:** Very popular with dog walkers. Off-leash essentially accepted throughout. Mostly local crowd. **Facilities:** Basic - some paths are rough. Bring water. A few chiringuitos (outdoor bars) for refreshments.
