⚠️Can Dogs Eat Milk?

CAUTION

Milk is safe in small amounts, but many dogs are lactose intolerant.

Also known as: dairy milk, cow's milk

📋 Details

Dogs don't possess significant amounts of lactase, the enzyme needed to break down lactose. While a little milk is okay, it can cause digestive upset in lactose-intolerant dogs. Water is always a better choice.

⚠️ Possible Symptoms

  • diarrhea
  • vomiting
  • gas
  • loose stools

🩺 What To Do

Offer only small amounts. Watch for digestive issues. Stick to water as the primary drink.
